High Adventure Trips

2007's trip: Hiking\Whitewater Rafting\equestrian in the Sawtooth mountains

Every year the Troop goes on a week-long trip to some interesting place decided by the scouts and the High Adventure chair. To try to make them affordable, the trips alternate years between being farther away and more expensive, and a closer, cheaper, but still very fun trip. If a proposed trip is going to be more fun and different than usual, there may be two smaller trips before it.

These trips often are planned to include hiking, scenery, fishing, boating, wildlife, and lots of FUN!!! To help cover the cost of these trips so that you can go on more of them (I recommend going on as many as possible-they are worth it), put a lot of effort into the popcorn and wreath sales the fall before the trip. It is possible to completely cover the cost of the smaller trips and up to half for the larger trips if you take these sales seriously.

As I said, fun, wildlife, scenery, and some things you have probably never done before are part of these trips, so be sure to bring a camera. Check out the troop photo album or go to the pages for each trip below to see what we've done on High Adventure trips in the past.
